You are gripped by their emotions and the strain it puts on their friendships, all seeking one goal – raising money for a settee in the local hospital, and raising a few eyebrows in the WI in the process.

The show itself is just a story, but there is more than that. This show by its content of dealing with cancer affects us all. We all have known a John, we’ve battled to keep calm, cared and supported each other. In the end some have been cured and we rejoice in this news, but some sadly pass away.
