Whitkirk Arts Guild is an amateur dramatics society based in East Leeds. We have been performing pantomimes, musicals and plays in Whitkirk since our first production of Orange Blossoms in 1952. In 2012 we celebrated 60 years of amateur dramatics at Whitkirk, and over 180 amazing plays, pantomimes, musicals and revues.
Thursday 27th to Saturday 29th September 2018
A look at the women who worked at the Barnbow munitions factory, and the cost of making the shells of World War One.
The Barnbow Social Club sits only a few hundred yards from the site of an accident at the plant in 1916 which claimed 35 lives and changed many more.
Tickets are now available for our 2017 musical revue It's My Life. Come and join us this September as we explore the story of a life in song and spoken word, through childhood and teenage angst, love and the daily grind, and the reflections of old age.
Packed full of the usual Whitkirk Arts Guild blend of humour, wit and emotion this promises to be an evening to make you laugh, cry and think. With cabaret-style seating around tables and the bar open every night it's the perfect way for you and friends to unwind midweek, celebrate the start of the weekend or kick back on a Saturday night.
