Calendar Girls
Wednesday 12 to Saturday 15 September 2012
It is not just a play; it is an observation of life. We look through a window and view one community's struggle to accept that their friend's life was taken so early by a terrible illness. You are gripped by their emotions and the strain it puts on their friendships, all seeking one goal – raising money for a settee in the local hospital, and raising a few eyebrows in the WI in the process.
The show itself is just a story, but there is more than that. This show by its content of dealing with cancer affects us all. We all have known a John, we’ve battled to keep calm, cared and supported each other. In the end some have been cured and we rejoice in this news, but some sadly pass away.
Come and join us on our journey celebrating one man's life, whose friends cared so much. Their efforts will make a change for others.
